Taking time to be gracious for what you have is important. It may not be everything that you want but taking a moment each day to check in and find something (even the smallest thing) is important. And if you are not in a good place, take time to remember that this feeling won’t last forever and that you are in control of your own life. Breathe. Pick a flower. Smell the fresh air. Look at the clouds. And remember to smile to a stranger. Believe it or not, when you are kind to others, when you think of others and make that extra effort, you feel better. No one knows what goes on inside of someone else’s head or life. You don’t know what just happened to them or what they might be struggling with. Reach out and make that extra effort.
